(Los Angeles, CA) To celebrate the 70th anniversary of the ROK - US Alliance, the Korean Cultural Center Los Angeles (Director Sangwon Jung) and LA Dance Festival will present 'Contemporary Dance Stories' in the KCCLA Ari Hall (5505 Wilshire Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90036) at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 22, 2023.

This event has been prepared in collaboration with the ING Collabo Group who were invited by LA Dance Festival to introduce Korean contemporary dance groups. These groups will participate in the Seattle International Dance Festival, then will join the LA Dance Festival. These prominent Korean contemporary dance groups will show their most creative and skillful dance pieces to LA fans. Also, they will share their stories for each piece.

For this performance, there are three (3) Korean dance groups and one (1) American dance group. YSM Dance Group, led by Soo MI Yoon, who currently teaches at Dongduk Women's University, will feature 'Dance, that excitement'. Project Artdock will feature solo dance 'Special dot', and BrockusRED will present the LA Dance Festival team. Additionally, 'Anhang' by Kim Hyun Sun Dance Company, a Korean dance film which premiered in January at the dance film festival 'Dance Camera West' will be shown.

Director Jung said, "This is a rare chance to see various contemporary dances from Korea and the US. You will see extremely disciplined dancers with high energy and creativity." He also said, "Korean Cultural Center Los Angeles will present more K-artist and K-dances like this. You can check our website www.kccla.org or our social media page."
