Winton Elementary School Tae Kwon Do

KCCLA is a long-time, proud supporter of good health, sports, international competition and the promotion of Taekwondo - the most popular martial art in the world, with over 60 million practitioners. The pillars of Taekwondo teach the most reverent principles of Korean Heritage that date back to the earliest of times and these are honor, respect for all people, discipline, humility, patience, devotion, morality and self-control.

Taekwondo Program Implementation in Local Public Schools
Taekwondo is Korea's traditional martial art (and the most popular in the world, with over 80 million practitioners in 206 nations) and since 2010, KCCLA has sponsored a Taekwondo Program within LAUSD schools in order to promote and enhance the awareness of Korean culture in the United States. To date, twenty schools in the greater L.A. area have incorporated Taekwondo into its Physical Education curriculum or as an after-school program.
