<2024 HANSIK CONTEST: Korean Food Cooking Competition>
The 2024 Flavors of Korea: My Signature Dishes with Korean Pastes competition is hosted by KCC LA and LA Harbor College.
This event highlights the rich tradition Korean cuisine, challenging participants to create dishes using Korean Traditional Pastes such as gochujang, doenjang, and ganjang.
* gochujang : A thick, red, spicy sauce made from rice, soya beans, and chillies (= hot peppers), used in Korean cooking
* doenjang : Soybean paste, made by fermenting soybeans after the beans are first used to make soy sauce
* ganjang : Salty, black liquid used to flavor food
We encourage all students to showcase their creativity and passion for Korean food in this exciting event!
