To commemorate the 80th anniversary of Korea’s liberation, the 'Spirit of Korea' concert will be held on Saturday, August 2 at 7:00 PM at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Downtown Los Angeles.
The program begins with 'Let My People Go (composed by Nak Kum Paik)', a powerful choral epic honoring five heroic figures of the Korean independence movement Kim Gu, An Jung-geun, Yu Gwan-sun, An Chang-ho, and Yun Dong-ju. Their stories and sacrifices are brought to life through stirring music.
The concert also features a rich and diverse program including Leonard Bernstein’s 'Make Our Garden Grow', 'Amazing Grace', beloved Korean art songs, and 'Korea Fantasy'.
We invite you to join us for this meaningful evening of music and remembrance, celebrating the enduring spirit of Korea’s path to freedom.
